This is how much studying costs
First of all, you need to know that the costs of living and studying depend on you. It is therefore impossible to say exactly how much money you will need per month. In total, however, you should have around 1,000-1,300€ per month at your disposal, see also studyinaustria.at/costs. If you come from a non-EU country, you must also be able to prove that you have a certain amount of money available per month to get the residence permit "Student". You can find more information here.
Tuition fees
EU/EEA/Swiss citizens do not pay tuition fees when completing their studies within the minimum study period. For bachelor's programmes, the minimum duration of study is 6 semesters plus 2 tolerance semesters. For master's programmes it is 4 semesters plus 2 tolerance semesters. During this period, you only pay the ÖH fee (approx. 25€ per semester). If you need more time to complete your studies, you will have to pay approx. 380€ per semester.
Third-country nationals pay approx. 750€ tuition fees per semester. The same fee applies to all programmes and levels. Certain nationalities are exempt from paying the tuition fees and only pay the ÖH fee (approx 25€ per semester).
You can find the exact regulations on this page about tuition fees.
Accommodation
The costs are individual, depending on what you choose. However, you can get a room in a student dorm in Graz from around 300€ per month. Please note that there is no on-campus housing available, dorms are privately organized by external providers.
