Online sessions before the arrival
To smoothen your start into the semester, we offer online info sessions for international (master's) students before the arrival. A registration is not necessary, just join the Zoom room at the inidicated time:
- Starting your studies: course registration, important contact points & what else you should know at the beginning of your studies
- Practical information: Finding accommodation, health insurance, registering your place of residence and much more.

NAWI Graz Programmes
If you are a NAWI Graz student and also enrolled at TU Graz, you can participate in both orientation programmes: International Welcome Days 2026 TU Graz
This English-language information session will take place on 23 September 2026 from 10:30 to approximately 13:30 in HS 01.15 at the University of Graz.
During this event, you will receive a compact overview of:
- studying at the University of Graz and the available student services
- key contact points
- important organisational and administrative steps at the beginning of your studies
- living in Graz (housing, public transport, leisure time, student community)
- Campus tour
You will also have the chance to meet other international students and ask your questions directly to the Welcome Center team.
Language of the event: English
Target group: international students in English-speaking master's programmes - but in general international bachelor's and PhD students are welcome as well!
Registration necessary
Participation is free of charge, but registration is required so that we can plan the event accordingly. All registered participants will receive a welcome bag on site, with useful information and small goodies for a smooth start to their studies.
The International Welcome Day is intended for international degree-seeking students at the University of Graz.
Ice Cream Social - meet other international students
Hosted by Uni Graz & TU Graz Welcome Center
- Where? Uni Graz main campus, at the Bienenwiese, close to the table tennis area
- When? Friday, September 25, 2026, 11-13:00 - no registration required; event will be cancelled in case of bad weather
- What? Get to know fellow new international students of Uni Graz & TU Graz - there is one free ice cream per person, while stocks last
New to Graz? Join us for a guided city tour in English. This is a great opportunity to discover Graz, explore the cultural treasures and historical secrets of our beautiful city, and connect with other international students along the way.
